Generally approved for all cosmetic use. Picture is of product as powder. Manganese Violet is a violet pigment used the formulation of makeup, hair coloring products, bath products, nail polish and skin care products. Because one of the starting materials, manganese oxide, comes from the earth there may be trace amounts of heavy metals although these are regulated and in very small amounts. They may eventually be in cosmetic or personal care products but do not pose a risk to human health. |

The strength of colour obtained from any dye or pigment is dependent upon the concentration used. Using concentrated dyes or pigments may result in deep colour that can bleed from the product in use and/or discolour surfaces.
