Lavandin Grosso is a hybrid plant developed by crossing true lavender with spike lavender. Lavandin grosso (Lavandula hybrida) is much bigger than normal lavender plants and has a much harsher aroma. Like most Lavender oils this one is usually blended to achieve a consistent aroma.
