Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil is a standardised oil, which should have the same aroma every time. To accomplish this, two of the main constituents in lavender oil, linalool and linalyl acetate, are blended with the oil to make up 40/42% of the oil.

Extended Information Lavandula Angustifolia, (Lavandula. Officinalis, Lavandula. Vera) This Lavender 40/42 is a blend of Lavender oils of French origin mainly Officinalis. Typically the INCI term is simply Lavandula Angustifolia.

This lavender essential oil is mainly Lavandula Officinalis (lavendula angustifolia). It has a sweet, floral, but a crisp herbal scent with a balsamic undertone. The safest among essential oils and used extensively on babies and children. It is relaxing and soothing and can be helpful in reducing stress and high blood pressure. Many people use lavender to promote a blissful sleep and serenity. Powerful, yet mild antiseptic, it can be used directly on the skin for urgent needs such as bee stings, minor cuts and burns. Lavender essential oil promotes a sense of calm and relaxation.
