Zea mays
Not widely quoted in hand made soap recipes, although this oil has stable saponification and as a soap it has conditioning properties with a stable lather. Other applications include a wide range of cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations, as an oleaginous vehicle. Also used in bath oils, body/base oils for massage and general skin care.
