This refined form of cocoa butter is very pale in colour (white to creamy white), deodorised and has its main uses in cosmetics and toiletries. The moisturising abilities of cocoa butter are often recommended for prevention of stretch marks in pregnant women, treatment of chapped skin and lips, and as a daily moisturizer to prevent dry, itchy skin. Cocoa butter melts at close to body temperature, making it an ideal choice for inclusion in salves and body butters as well as bath melts.
